The mobile application for the Budapest Summer Festival has been released

The Budpest Summer Festival is first among the cultural festivals to expand its services with free downloadable applications from the two main mobile app stores.  The most appealing summer and star studded evening open-air theatre programs are now available with a click.   
 
With this free application under the name Budapest Summer Festival, those interested in the continually expanding and complete program offerings at the Open-Air Theatres at Margaret Island and Városmajor can simply, comfortably and quickly have access to the latest news, offers and services such as „Sleep in Budapest with a Theatre Ticket” tourist package, the Theatre boat service or the Water Tower Lookout and Gallery programs.
 
Not only will those who download the application have the latest information first, but with a few clicks and a bankcard payment, they can quickly purchase a ticket from among more than a hundred programs offered at the festival without queuing or printing an E-ticket.  After the required registration, they can conveniently choose from among the best deals. After the completed transaction, the application will send the E-ticket via e-mail and mark the event on the mobile phone’s calendar so that the customer will not inadvertently miss the summer’s most popular cultural programs.


 
2016 is the year of romance and the Budapest Summer Festival offers a variety of productions at two venues, the Open-Air Theatres at Margaret Island and at Városmajor.  During the summer season, a wide variety of genres will be represented such as theatrical performances, opera and musicals, dance performances, concerts, spectacular shows, children’s theatre, jazz, world music, classical music and crossover concerts to satisfy every age group in the family.
 
Ticket are now on sale for the Five-star super production at the Open-Air Theatre On Margaret Island featuring the best known Hungarian artists - Andrea Rost, Erika Miklósa, Zoltán Kocsis, Tamás Vásáry, Gergely Madaras, Domonkos Héja - with such international stars on stage as James Valenti, Yuja Wang, Marc Heller, Sébastien Guéze, Giuseppe Filianoti, Stacey Kent, Stanley Jordan, London’s Globe Theatre, and the Monte Carlo Ballet Company.  An opening concert by the National Philharmonic Orchestra will lead the season’s star studded lineup, two Verdi operas, Traviata and Othello as well as the 3 Tenors Opera Gala await classical music lovers, a circus revue and the Virtuosos will perform a grand holiday concert again this year, and the musical Evita will be presented.
