Ship transfer to the performances of the Margaret Island Open-air Stage

Ship transfer:

This summer we will provide a ship transfer service to our costumers, thanks to the co-operation between the European Group and Open-air Theatre; the ships will depart from three different river ports and will take passengers either to Margaret Island Grand Hotel or to Vadaspark station; from both stops paved paths lead to the Margaret Island Open-air Stage equipped with signs and lighting.  After the end of performances the boats will take passengers back to their departure place.  The three ports of departure are Jászai Mari square and Dráva street from the Pest side and Szilágyi Dezső square from the Buda side.
These ship transfers – beside the unique experience they provide – make it easier to access Margaret Island, which has got a relatively challenging exercise since Margaret Bridge’s closure due to reconstruction works.

Types of transfers:
Along the river transfers, there will be ships providing extra services too, such as sightseeing by the river, with the option of buffet dinner service during cruising.

Ordinary ship transfer:
The ships will take passengers to the shows and return them after.  They will arrive at the Margaret Island Grand Hotel and Vadaspark stations departing from three ports:
on the Pest side from Jászai Mari square and Dráva street, while on the Buda side from Szilágyi Dezső square.

Sightseeing by the river:
Sightseeing from 6 pm until 7.30 pm;
At boarding we will welcome our guests with a glass of champagne.  The ticket price covers both the sightseeing trip and the river transfer to the island.

Sightseeing by the river with buffet dinner:
Sightseeing trip from 6 pm until 7.30 pm, coupled with a buffet dinner of the following food selection:
Aperitif: champagne, apricot schnapps, orange juice
Cold starter: feta cheese cream with Hungarian spices, goose-crackling cream
Soup: Újházi-styled chicken broth rich in vegetables
Main dish: Grilled pullet breast fillet with Tokaj cheese sauce and spicy pilaff with roast pepper
Not specifically for vegetarians: cheese dumplings with fried onions
Garnishing: stewed vegetables, parsley-strewn potatoes with butter
Salads: Greek salad rich in feta cheese, potato salad with mayonnaise dressing, Caesar salad with grilled pullet breast slices, fresh green and seasonal salads with dressings and home-made mixed pickles
Desserts: mixed mini dessert specialities, various mini strudels with cinnamon-vanilla sauce, Seasonal and exotic fruits

Information, tickets:
Tickets can be purchased online or personally in the offices of Interticket , and from May on in the both box-offices of the Open-air Theatre at Margaret Island and Városmajor.
Tickets are not available in the river ports!

Boat departures are adjusted to the start of the shows and vary in time from port to port.
To optimise access to performances we prioritise selling transfer and cruise tickets to ships with arriving times closer to the beginning of performances.
The first ships will head back 20 minutes after the show is over, on a first come - first served basis, with continuous embarking; and will transport back everybody having a valid ticket.
